About umacha
Located at 665 Paularino Ave, Costa Mesa, CA 92626, umacha operates as a bubble tea shop serving Costa Mesa in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Tea in the United States covers everything from a traditional Chinese or Japanese tea house to a Southern sweet-tea counter, and the fastest-growing segment is bubble tea: Taiwanese-style milk teas and fruit teas with tapioca pearls, sold by chains and independents alike with adjustable sugar and ice levels. Tea rooms serving afternoon tea with scones and sandwiches usually require a reservation, while boba shops, juice bars and smoothie shops are walk-in and quick. Kava and kombucha bars are a newer category, and loose-leaf tea stores sell blends, teaware and gifts, often with a tasting counter. Prices for a drink run similar to coffee-shop prices, with premium teas and cold-pressed juices at the high end.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11 amโ8 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. More information is available on its website, umachaus.com.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 59 reviews, which is a strong result for a bubble tea shop in Costa Mesa and suggests consistent service.
Costa Mesa is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Costa Mesa follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Iโve tried a lot of boba spots in OC, and Umacha really stands out. I ordered the matcha mango and wasnโt sure what to expect, but it ended up being one of the most unique drinks Iโve had in a while. The matcha is smooth and high quality, and the mango adds just the right amount of sweetness and freshness without overpowering it. Itโs super balancedโnot too sweet, not too heavyโjust clean and refreshing. The texture was on point too, and everything tasted fresh. You can tell they actually put thought into their drinks instead of just loading them with sugar. The shop itself is minimal and clean, with a really chill vibe. Service was quick and friendly.

Great matcha shop in Mitsuwa food court. They have a very customizable selection. I got the matcha taro latte half sweet super flavorful. Very sweet Japanese lady was working.

Friendly staff and cozy clean shop The cheese foam had a nice, thick texture. The combination with the Americano was surprisingly good.

Service was excellent, my first time trying out matcha and i got recommended this strawmat latte. It was delicious and sweet enough. Price is average ~$6 a small size cup. Plenty of seating in the food court of Mitsuwa! Will be returning :) 9/10

Okay. For the price paid, we expected perfection. The drinks were too sweet and the boba proportion was not worth the additional dollar they charged. The workers were nice, but our expectations were not met. * Marry Me Mango: 7/10 - couldnโt taste any tea * Jasmine Green Tea + Cheese Cream: 8/10 - good but way too sweet * Brown Sugar Boba (Topping): 6/10 - way too sweet Theyโre located in the center of the food court inside of Mitsuwa Marketplace. You should be able to find a table to sit at, but the place lacks major air conditioning so I wouldnโt recommend staying for long. There are a lot of other boba shops in the area that are way better. Not worth it, in my opinion.

REFRESHING AS A MT FUJI BREEZE! I had the best Passion Fruit Lemonade! Too bad it was overpriced! Sadly This will be my first, last and only time experiencing the Nector of the Gods. I'm currently on a Budget Journey and their drinks no longer support my journey. But if you're pockets are deep and want delicious refreshing beverage, then this your place!

Located inside Mitsuwa at the center of the food court. They are known for cheese cream foam but I got the milk teas. We got the Brown Sugar Milk Tea, it came with boba. Also got Hojicha w/o boba. I didnโt customize any of it except for less ice on both. The hojicha could have used 75% sweet. Love that their prices are reasonable, average of $5.50 for the regular sized milk tea. If you want something quick, inexpensive then this is the place to go. Not exactly quality but decent for the price.

Such a great price. Owner recommended their option 1. Best boba tea in Costa Mesa that I have had. The cream cheese added such a different and enjoyable touch to the drink. Definitely recommend this and see this being a top boba shop in the area. Best boba in Orange County
